Instrument Panel and Dash Components Removal and Installation

NOTE: On the Wagon model, SRS harnesses are routed near the dashboard and steering column.

WARNING: All SRS harnesses and connectors are colored yellow. Do not use electrical test equipment on these circuits.

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the SRS wire harnesses when servicing the dashboard and steering column.

COMPONENT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

NOTE: Take care not to scratch or score the dashboard and instrument panel.

1. Remove the following:
- Console
- Ashtray and ashtray holder
- Stereo cassette/radio
- Coin box, cruise control master switch, sunroof switch and panel brightness controller
- Side and center air vents
2. Remove the 12 mounting screws and disconnect the connectors.
3. Carefully pull out the instrument panel from the dashboard.
