Failure Mode L: Poor Ground at SRS Unit or Unit Mounting Bolts

Disconnect the battery negative and positive terminals, then connect the short connector to airbag assembly, Figs. 1 and 2.
1. Connect test harness B between SRS unit and main harness. Check for continuity between B5 or B15 and body ground. If continuity exists, SRS unit is defective. Replace as necessary. If continuity does not exists, there is an open in the SRS unit ground, SRS unit component grounds or SRS main harness is defective. Inspect grounds and if necessary, replace SRS main harness.
