Air Cleaner Housing: Description and Operation
Primary Air Intake Components:
The Air Cleaner, mounted on the right fender, is a remote canister, paper-element style air cleaner. The Air Cleaner traps dirt and other contaminants before they have a chance to enter the engine. Air is drawn in through the air intake tube, filtered by the Air Cleaner, and then passes through the air flow tube into the throttle body. There is also a resonator chamber connected to the air intake tube which helps reduce airflow noise as air is drawn into the system.
