Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
1. Turn ignition switch on and ensure anti-lock warning light comes on.2. Start engine and check anti-lock warning light. If light goes off, there is no problem with anti-lock brake system. If light comes on proceed to step 3.
3. Stop engine and disconnect service check connector from connector cover located under front of center console.
4. Connect both terminals of service check connector with a jumper wire.

5. Turn ignition switch on and record blinking frequency of anti-lock brake system indicator light. Blinking frequency indicates problem code, Fig. 19.
6. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS for code diagnosis.
7. After a repair is completed, disconnect anti-lock brake B2 fuse for at least three seconds to erase control units memory, then turn ignition switch on and recheck.
