Instrument Cluster / Carrier: Service and Repair

1. Disable coded theft protection system as described under Accessories and Optional Equipment / Antitheft and Alarm Systems / Service and Repair.
2. Disarm airbag as described under Air Bags and Seat Belts / Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems / Airbag System Disarming).
3. Disconnect battery ground cable.
4. Remove speaker covers from dashboard, then remove instrument cluster visor.
5. Remove black face panel, then disconnect 6P connector from clock reset switch.

6. Remove attaching screws from main gauge assembly, Fig. 11.
7. Place a cloth over dashboard to protect gauge assemblies, then pull main and sub gauge assembly out and disconnect electrical connectors.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
9. Restore coded theft protection system and rearm airbag.
