Positive Crankcase Ventilation: Testing and Inspection
Positive Crankcase Ventilation System:
1. Check the crankcase ventilation hoses and connections for leaks, cracks, or clogging.
2. Start the engine and let it idle.
3. Lightly pinch the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose between the PCV valve and intake manifold. There should be a clicking sound from the PCV valve. If there is no sound, replace the valve and re-test.
