SYMPTOM
A clunk noise when raising or lowering the rear power window(s).

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the rear window glass mounting bolts with the new bolts listed under PARTS INFORMATION. Be careful not to scratch or damage any interior trim parts.
1. Lower the rear window to the bottom of its travel.
2. Remove the inner handle and the armrest pocket
3. Pry out the door panel's eight clips, then lift it off.
4. Carefully pry out the two inner door grommets, remove the inner door bracket (two screws), and gently pull away the upper half of the rain protector.
5. Remove the two window glass mounting bolts.
6. Inspect the new bolts to ensure they have complete threads.
7. Install the new bolts, and torque them to 10 Nm (7.2 lb).
8. Reinstall the rain protector, the door panel, the handle, and the armrest.
9. Check the operation of the window. If necessary, adjust the glass. Refer to section 20 of the 1994 or 1995 Civic Service Manual for adjustment information.
10. Check the operation of the other rear window. If you hear a clunk noise, repeat steps 1 through 9 on that side.
