Buzzing From the B-Pillar Upper Panel
SYMPTOM
A buzzing noise from the left or right B-pillar upper panel when driving on rough roads.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The plastic cover on the seat belt shoulder anchor adjuster vibrates against the B-pillar upper panel.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Apply wool felt to the back of the B-pillar upper panel. Be careful not to damage any interior trim parts.
1. Pull off the anchor bolt cover, then remove the anchor bolt.
2. Remove the B-pillar lower panel.
3. Remove the B-pillar upper panel and outer trim.
4. Cut two 15 x 100 mm strips of wool felt, peel off the backing, and apply them to the back side of the upper panel.
5. Reinstall the B-pillar upper panel and outer trim.
6. Reinstall the B-pillar lower panel.
7. Make sure the seat belt is not kinked or twisted.
8. Apply liquid thread lock to the anchor bolt threads, and install the bolt.
9. Tighten the anchor bolt to 32 N.m (24 lb-ft).
10. Reinstall the anchor bolt cover.
11. Make sure the seat belt operates smoothly.
12. If needed, repeat this procedure on the opposite side.
