Back-Up Lights - Test:





NOTE: Before testing, check the taillight bulbs and No. 1 (10 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.

1. Test the back-up light switch by moving the shift lever to reverse position and turning the ignition switch ON (II).
The back-up lights should come on.
^ If the back-up lights do not come on, go to step 2.
2. Disconnect the connector from the back-up light switch.

3. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.
^ If there is no continuity, replace the back-up light switch.
^ If there is continuity, but the back-up lights do not come on, check for:
- poor ground (G551, G552)
- an open in the YEL or GRN/BLK wire
