Maintenance Required Lamp/Indicator: Description and Operation

Maintenance Required Indicator
If the light does not blink or does not come on, check the bulb and speedometer operation. If the bulb and the speedometer are OK, the gauge internal circuits must be faulty.

Blinking Pattern:
- During the first 6,000 miles (and every 6,000 miles after the indicator is reset), the light comes on for two seconds when you turn the ignition switch ON (II).
- Between 6,000 and 7,500 miles, the light comes on for two seconds, then blinks for ten seconds when you turn the ignition switch ON (II).
- If the mileage goes over 7,500 miles before the vehicle's scheduled maintenance is performed, the light stays on continuously. This is when it needs to be reset.
