IF THE MAINTENANCE INDICATOR WON'T RESET
If the maintenance required indicator on a '98-99 Accord V6 won't reset using the above procedure from the Owner's Manual, there may be a problem in the indicator circuit. Here's how to check and correct the problem:
1. Disconnect the ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor on the engine.
2. Open the trunk, and remove the trunk floor.
3. Remove the fuel pump access cover (3 screws).
4. Disconnect the fuel pump connector.
5. Try the resetting procedure again:
- With the engine off, press and hold the select/reset button on the instrument panel.
- While still holding the button, turn the ignition switch ON (II), then continue to hold the button for about 10 seconds until the indicator resets.
6. If the indicator still doesn't reset, replace the gauge assembly
