DIAGNOSIS

1. Make sure the vehicle has the original factory wheels.

2. Drive the vehicle to a large, empty parking lot. Make several quick stops to heat up the brakes/hubs. Then make several left and right turns, and listen for a clicking sound coming from a wheel, with a frequency that matches the tire rotation speed.

^ If you hear the clicking sound from a wheel at that frequency, continue to CORRECTIVE ACTION.

^ If the clicking sound is coming from a different location or has a different frequency, troubleshoot other causes.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Remove all four wheels.

2. Use sandpaper to clean the rust oft all four hubs.

3. Apply super high-temp urea grease to the face of each wheel where it contacts the hub.

4. Install the wheels. Torque the wheel nuts to 108 Nm (80 lb-ft).
