Installation

INSTALLATION NOTES
1. Install the transmission assembly in the reverse order of removal.

- Before installing, ensure that the two dowel pins are installed in the clutch housing.





- Apply grease at the recommended lubrication points.

NOTE: Use Super High Temp Urea Grease (P/N 08798\9002) or equivalent.

2. Place the transmission assembly on a jack.





3. Raise the front side of the transmission assembly until the release fork clears the front beam.





4. Raise the rear side of the transmission assembly until the shift lever clears the rear beam.





TRANSMISSION MOUNTS
- After starting the transmission assembly mounting bolts, loosen the three mounting bolts on the front engine mount/bracket, then torque all mounting bolts.









CAUTION: Ensure that the mount bushings are not twisted or offset.

- When installing the starter cable ensure that the crimped side is facing out.
- Refill the transmission with oil.
- Connect the positive (+) battery cable first, then the negative (-) cable to the battery.
- Check the clutch operation.
- Shift the transmission and check for smooth operation.
- Check the front wheel alignment.
- Enter the customers anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the radio station presets.
