SERVICE TIP:
The synchro ring order for 5th gear is wrong in the Exploded View on page
13-28. It shows the synchro ring with nine teeth per segment mating to 5th gear and the synchro ring with four teeth per segment mating to the tapered cone ring. If you install the synchro rings in this order, the M/T locks up in 5th gear.

To ensure proper reassembly of 5th gear, refer to this exploded view.
