REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Remove the driver's door panel:

^ Refer to page 20-9 of the 2003-2006 Accord Service Manual.

^ Online, enter keyword DOOR PANEL, and select Door Panel Removal/Installation (2-Door) from the list.

2. Remove the outer door sash trim and the outer mirror:

^ Refer to page 20-20 of the service manual.

^ Online, enter keyword DOOR SASH, and select Door Sash Trim Replacement (2-Door) from the list.

3. Using Vernier calipers, measure the gap between the inner and outer door skins along the top edge. Start from the rear glass run channel and continue forward 150-200 mm.

^ If the measurement is less than 30.5 mm, go to step 4.

^ If the measurement is more than 30.5 mm, this bulletin does not apply. Continue with normal troubleshooting.

4. Using wide mouth locking pliers with protective tape on the jaws, bend the inner door skin toward the middle of the car until the 30.5 mm gap is achieved.

5. Install a new door glass inner weatherstrip. It is not necessary to replace the door panel.

6. Loosely attach the door sash trim to avoid damage to the outer weatherstrip.

7. Install the outer weatherstrip.

8. Tighten the door sash trim.

9. Install the door panel and the outer mirror in the reverse order of removal.
