Backup Lamp Switch: Testing and Inspection

Back-up Light Switch Test





1. Disconnect the back-up light switch connector (A).
2. Check for continuity between the No.1 and No. 2 terminals of the back-up light switch. There should be continuity when the shift lever is in reverse.
3. If necessary, replace the back-up light switch. Apply liquid gasket (P/N 08718-0001), and install it on the transmission housing. Tighten the back-up light switch to the specified torque.
