Rear Door Window Regulator Buzzes or Grinds

SYMPTOM

A loud buzzing or grinding is heard when opening or closing one or both of the rear door windows.

PROBABLE CAUSE

The window regulator cable is creating noise inside the regulator.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Replace both rear window regulators.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Replace both rear window regulators:

^ Refer to page 20-30 in the 2003-2007 Accord Service Manual, or

^ Online, enter keywords REGULATOR REPLACEMENT, and select Rear Door Glass and Regulator Replacement (4-door) from the list.

2. Operate the windows, and make sure the buzzing or grinding is gone.
