Passenger's Seat Does Not Slide
SYMPTOM
The front passenger's seat does not slide when using the lower adjuster lever.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The slide cable detached from the lower adjuster lever at the cable end.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Install a lock pin to secure the cable to the lower adjuster lever.

Any repair performed after warranty expiration may be eligible for goodwill consideration by the District Parts and Service Manager or your Zone Office. You must request consideration, and get a decision, before starting work.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Remove the center console.
^ Refer to page 20-71 of the 2007 Fit Service Manual, or
^ Online, enter keyword CONSOLE, then select Center Console Removal/Installation from the list.
2. Release the hooks from the left side of the seat.
3. Release the hooks from the underside of the seat cushion.
4. Lift up the seat cushion, and move it out of the way.
5. Reattach the barrel part of the slide cable to the lever.
6. Install the lock pin. Make sure the lock pin goes between the slide cable and the slotted side of the lever.
7. Reattach the hooks to secure the seat cushion.
8. Confirm the seat slides forward and backward, and that it locks into place when you release the upper and lower adjuster levers.
9. Install the center console in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
^ Check for damaged or worn clips. If necessary, replace them with new ones.
^ Make sure the harness is not pinched.
^ Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
^ Correctly set the rib under the pocket onto the parking brake lever bracket.
