2007-08 Fit: Rear Washer Nozzle Broken or Missing

SYMPTOM
The rear window washer nozzle is missing or broken, and washer fluid leaks into the vehicle's interior.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The rear washer nozzle was damaged by an ice scraper.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Install the updated rear washer nozzle kit.

Any repair performed after warranty expiration may be eligible for goodwill consideration by the District Parts and Service Manager or your Zone Office. You must request consideration, and get a decision, before starting work.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Open the tailgate, and pull the washer hose off the rear washer nozzle.
2. Remove the nozzle and the nut, and then install the new nozzle and nut onto the glass.
3. Carefully remove the small rubber grommet below the nozzle, and remove the large rubber grommet below the high mount brake light.
4. Disconnect the washer hose and the plastic hose joint from the large grommet.
5. Pull the hose up and out through the small grommet opening in the tailgate.
6. Disconnect the hose from the washer nozzle hose section, and discard it.
7. Using the new parts in the kit, assemble the washer hose and check valve. The arrow on the check valve points towards the nozzle.
8. Attach the new hose to the washer nozzle hose section.
9. Feed the check valve end of the new hose into the small grommet opening and out through the large grommet opening.
10. Attach the washer hose check valve to the large grommet, then reinstall the grommet.
11. Attach the washer hose to the nozzle, and reinstall the small grommet.
12. Test the rear washer for proper operation. If the spray pattern is not within the standard area, adjust the nozzle:
