REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. With the appropriate trim tool, release the tabs of the sunvisor cap from the bracket, then remove the sunvisor cap.
2. Remove both sunvisors:
^ Remove the sunvisor from the holder.
^ Remove the TORX screws with a TORX T25 bit.
3. Push the hook with a flat-tip screwdriver, and turn
the holder 90 degrees, then pull it out.
4. Remove the front individual map light assembly:
^ Remove the lenses.
^ Remove the bolts.
^ If equipped, release the four tabs, then pull out the navigation microphone.
^ Disconnect the front individual map light connector. If equipped, disconnect the navigation microphone connector.
5. Lower the grab handle, then remove the caps with the push pin/grab rail cap pliers.
6. Pinch the clips to release the hooks, then remove the grab handle.
7. Pinch the hooks on the clips with a pair of pliers, and pull out the clips.
8. Pull the front door opening seal away from the A-pillar trim on both sides.
9. Hit the upper clip in the A-pillar trim with a rubber mallet. The clip is under the "SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG" mark. Hitting the clip breaks the projections on the pin and pushes it into the grommet on the body.
NOTE:
The upper clip must be replaced with a new one when the A-pillar trim is reinstalled.
10. Pull back on the top of the A-pillar trim by hand to remove the upper clip from the body.
11. Pull out the A-pillar trim by hand to detach the clips. Pull up the trim from the dashboard, then remove the trim.
12. Pull down on the front portion of the headliner so you can access the sunvisor openings.
13. Cut four pieces of urethane foam, 25 mm x 10 mm.
14. On the top of the headliner, attach two pieces of urethane foam near each sunvisor bracket opening as shown.
15. Reinstall the front portion of the headliner.
16. Reinstall both A-pillar trim with new clips.
17. Reinstall both grab handles, the front map light, and both sunvisors.
