Advanced Diagnostics - DTC P1570 (66): Battery Module Individual Voltage Problem

General Description
The motor control module (MCM) monitors the individual voltage of the battery module (each module) and checks if there is difference between each module. The MCM calculates the average voltage value from each module, excluding the maximum voltage and the minimum voltage. When the average voltage is a specified voltage and the difference between the maximum voltage and the minimum voltage is a specified value, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.

Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type, OBD Status

Enable Conditions

Malfunction Threshold
The difference between the maximum voltage and the minimum voltage is 3.0 V or more for at least 0.5 second when the average of the individual module voltage (excludes maximum voltage and minimum voltage) is 15.0 V or more.

Diagnosis Details

Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the MCM memory.

Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the battery.
