TPMS DTC Troubleshooting: 81

DTC 81 : TPMS Control Unit Failure

NOTE: Low battery voltage can cause this DTC. Make sure the battery is fully charged and in good condition.

1. Problem verification:

Problem verification
-1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

-3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).

-4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 81 indicated?
-YES- The failure is duplicated. Replace the TPMS control unit Service and Repair.
-NO- Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
