Fuel Cap Adapter Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Vehicle Lift

1. Raise the vehicle on a lift, and make sure it is securely supported.

2. Rear Wheel





1. Remove the rear wheel.

3. Fuel Pipe Protector (Natural Gas Model)





1. Remove the fuel filler pipe protector (A).

4. Fuel Fill Door Switch (Natural Gas Model)





1. From the trunk compartment, disconnect the fuel fill door switch connector (A), and detach the harness clip (B).





2. Open the fuel fill door, release the fuel fill door switch (A) by turning it 90 ° from the fuel receptacle adapter (B).





3. From the wheel arch, remove the clip (A) and the grommet (B), then remove the fuel fill door switch (C) out through the hole in the body.

5. Fuel Cap Adapter (Natural Gas Model)





1. Remove the cable clip (A).

2. Remove the bolts (B) and the nut (C).





3. Remove the receptacle dust cap (A).





4. Remove the screw (A).





5. Remove the fuel cap adapter (A).

Installation

1. Fuel Cap Adapter (Natural Gas Model)





1. Install the fuel cap adapter (A).





2. Install the screw (A).





3. Install the receptacle dust cap (A).





4. Install the bolts (A) and the nut (B).

5. Install the cable clip (C).

2. Fuel Fill Door Switch (Natural Gas Model)





1. From the wheel arch, install the clip (A).

2. Insert the fuel fill door switch (B) into the hole in the body and the grommet (C).

NOTE: Align the marks (D) on the fuel fill door switch with the grommet as shown.





3. Set the fuel fill door switch (A) by turning it 90 ° to the fuel receptacle adapter (B).





4. From the trunk compartment, install the harness clip (A) and connect the fuel fill door switch connector (B).

3. Fuel Pipe Protector (Natural Gas Model)





1. Install the fuel filler pipe protector (A).

4. Rear Wheel





1. Install the rear wheel.

NOTE: Before installing the wheel, clean the mating surfaces between the brake disc or the brake drum and the inside of the wheel.
