VSA System Symptom Troubleshooting - VSA cannot be turned off
VSA cannot be turned OFF
1. VSA OFF switch check:
VSA OFF switch check
-1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
-2. Check the VSA OFF switch VSA Off Switch Test (2-door).
Is the VSA OFF switch OK?
-YES- Go to step 2.
-NO- Replace the VSA OFF switch VSA Off Switch Removal and Installation (2-door).
2. Open wire check (VSA_OFF_SW line):
Open wire check (VSA_OFF_SW line)
-1. Disconnect the following connectors.
-2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Is there continuity?
-YES- The VSA_OFF_SW wire is OK. Go to step 3.
-NO- Repair an open in the wire between the gauge control module (tach) and the VSA OFF switch.
3. Shorted wire check (VSA_OFF_SW line):
Shorted wire check (VSA_OFF_SW line)
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Is there continuity?
-YES- Repair a short to body ground in the wire between the gauge control module (tach) and the VSA OFF switch.
-NO- The VSA_OFF_SW wire is OK. Go to step 4.
4. Open wire check (GND line):
Open wire check (GND line)
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Is there continuity?
-YES- The GND wire is OK. Replace the gauge control module (tach) Gauge Control Module (Tach) Removal and Installation.
-NO- Repair an open in the wire between the VSA OFF switch and body ground (G501).
