DTC Troubleshooting: B1575

DTC B1575:

Auto Light Sensor Circuit Malfunction

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1575 indicated?

YES -

Go to step 4.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

5. Disconnect automatic lighting/sunlight sensor 5P connector.

6. Disconnect under-dash fuse/relay box connector M (34P).

7. Check for continuity between the under-dash fuse/relay box connector M (34P) terminals and the automatic lighting/sunlight sensor 5P connector terminals as shown:









Is there continuity?

YES -

Go to step 8.

NO -

Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.

8. Check for continuity between automatic lighting/sunlight sensor 5P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3.





Is there continuity?

YES -

Repair a short in the wire.

NO -

Go to step 9.

9. Reconnect under-dash fuse/relay box connector M (34P).

10. Measure the voltage between body ground and under-dash fuse/relay box connector M (34P) terminal No. 16, and between body ground and under-dash fuse/relay box connector Q (16P) terminal No. 9.









Is there less than 0.2 V?

YES -

Go to step 11.

NO -

Repair an open or high resistance in the wire or poor ground (G501, G502).

11. Reconnect automatic lighting/sunlight sensor 5P connector.

12. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

13. Measure the voltage between automatic lighting/sunlight sensor 5P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground.





Is there about 5 V?

YES -

Replace the automatic lighting/sunlight sensor Service and Repair.

NO -

Faulty MICU; replace the under-dash fuse/relay box.
