Advanced Diagnostics - DTC P1574 (68): Battery Module Temperature Signal Circuit MalfunctionGeneral Description
When the battery module temperature is a specified value or more in the power save mode, the battery module temperature decreases if the battery module cooling system is normal. The battery module temperature sensor stuck failure is detected by comparing the battery module temperature decrease over a specified time to a specified value. Similarly, when the battery module temperature is a specified value or less in the power save mode, the battery module temperature increases if the battery module heating system is normal. The battery module temperature sensor stuck failure is detected by comparing the battery module temperature increase over a specified time to a specified value. If the change in battery module temperature is a specified value for a set time, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.

Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected during the first drive cycle, a Pending DTC is stored in the MCM memory. If the malfunction returns in the next (second) drive cycle, the MIL comes on and a Confirmed DTC and the freeze data are stored.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the battery.
