Trunk Lid Does Not Stay Up With Accessory Wing Spoiler Installed

SYMPTOM
The trunk lid does not stay open after a Honda Genuine accessory wing spoiler is installed.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The accessory trunk springs are unable to hold the trunk lid open in some circumstances.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the trunk lid spring set.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Remove the rear seat-back release lever/cable.
2. Remove the trunk lid torsion bars from the trunk lid torsion bar clip.
3. Using the torsion bar remover, remove the trunk lid torsion bars from both trunk lid hinges.
4. Remove and discard the sliders from the right and left side hinges.
5. Install the two new sliders on the hinge arms.
6. Install the new torsion bars with the torsion bar remover tool onto both trunk lid hinges and onto the clip on each slider.
7. Reinstall the trunk lid torsion bars to the trunk lid torsion bar clip.
8. Reinstall the rear seat-back release lever/cable.
