Hood: Adjustments

Hood Adjustment

1. Adjust the hood by turning the hood adjuster (1) clockwise to lower the hood, and counterclockwise to raise the hood.

2. Adjust the hood until a gap of approximately 1/4 in. is reached at the hood to fender gap (2) and the hood to non functional air inlet (1) gap. Ensure that the gaps are equal from side to side.
3. After the adjustment is complete, adjust the hood latch.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Service Precautions in Cautions and Notices.

4. Adjust the hood latch by loosening the hood latch bolts (1) and moving the latch upward and downward, inward and outward, until the hood latch latches properly and securely retains the hood.

Tighten the hood latch bolts to 9 Nm (7 lb ft).
