Transmission Support Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair in General Information.
2. Support the transmission with a suitable stand or jack.




3. Remove the nuts retaining the transmission mount to the transmission support.
4. Raise the transmission.




5. Remove the bolts and the nuts retaining the transmission support to the frame.
6. Remove the transmission support from the frame.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the transmission support to the frame.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Service Precautions in Cautions and Notices.


Important: Ensure that the transmission support fasteners do not overlap before and after final tightening.


2. Install the bolts and the nuts in order to retain the transmission support to the frame.

Tighten the nuts to 95 Nm (70 lb ft).

3. Lower the transmission.




4. Install the transmission mount to the transmission support.
5. Install the nuts to the transmission mount.

Tighten the nuts to 40 Nm (30 lb ft).

6. Remove the stand or jack.
7. Lower the vehicle.
