Tailgate: Adjustments
Endgate Adjustment
1. To adjust the liftgate upward or downward, slightly loosen the bolts retaining the liftgate to the hinge (1).
2. Adjust the liftgate (1) to the rear bumper fascia (2) gap (A) to 22-24 mm (0.86 in-0.94 in).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .
3. Tighten the bolts (1) retaining the liftgate to the hinge.
Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

To adjust the liftgate inward or outward, remove the rear upper garnish molding trim. Refer to Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Replacement) .
5. Slightly loosen the bolts retaining the hinge to the vehicle.
6. Adjust the liftgate (1) to roof (2) gap (A) to 13 mm (0.51 in).
7. Tighten the bolts (1) retaining the hinge to the vehicle.
Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
8. Install the rear upper garnish molding trim. Refer to Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Replacement) .
9. Operate the liftgate to inspect for proper operation.
