REPLACEMENT BATTERY INSTALLATION
The Hyundai replacement battery for the Excel is a BCI group 24 size which is wider than the original battery. When installing the replacement battery, the following procedure is necessary:
^ Remove and discard the plastic tray from the stationary battery tray.
The replacement battery does not require a plastic tray.
^ Remove and discard the spacer that is attached to the battery holddown clamp. The spacer is removed by simply pulling it off of the clamp.
With the plastic bottom tray and spacer removed, the vehicle will accommodate all BCI group 24 batteries.
