WATER ENTRY AT EVAPORATOR PIPES
If you receive complaints of water entry into the passengers footwell we suggest the following:
1. Verify that the evaporator drain pipe is correctly installed and that there is no leakage from that area.
2. Determine if this condition only occurs when the vehicle is operated on wet pavement. If so, the water may be entering through the foam gasket that seals the hole the evaporator pipes pass through. We suggest that the cover plate be loosened and that a suitable sealer be applied between the foam gasket and cover plate, as illustrated below.
Note: The factory is now applying sealer to correct this condition.
