Subject TRUNK LID COUNTERBALANCING (PRODUCTION CHANGE)




To improve counterbalancing of the trunk lid, a third torsion bar has been added to the torsion bar system as shown below.

Additionally, a number of other changes have been made to improve the torsion bar hold open performance.



A. Torsion bar length and diameter modified.



B. Trunk lid overslam bumper modified



C. Additional torsion bar clips installed



D. Right side hinge modified to accept additional torsion bar.
