Fuel Delivery and Air Induction: Description and Operation

The two-barrel downdraft Mikuni carburetor utilizes closed loop feedback circuitry. Carburetor operation is controlled by an electronic carburetor control unit (computer). The computer monitors engine and vehicle operating conditions through a series of sensors, determines ideal air/fuel mixtures, then controls carburetor operation by energizing fuel and air control solenoids and relays.
