Removal Inspection

REMOVAL

Rear Suspension Assembly:

1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and place it on jackstands under the side frames.
2. Remove the rear brake assemblies. Refer to BRAKES
3. Remove the rear muffler.

Shock Absorber Lower Bolt Removal:

4. Slightly raise the suspension arm with a hydraulic floor jack placed under the spring seat.
5. Remove the shock absorber lower mounting bolt from the suspension arm.

Removing Coil Spring:

6. Lower the jack. Remove the coil spring and temporarily reconnect the shock absorber to the suspension arm.

Brake Line And Mounting Bolts:

7. Disconnect the rear brake hose at the suspension arm, remove the suspension arm mounting bolts and lower the assembly from the vehicle.
