Reassembly



Rear Suspension Assembly:






REASSEMBLY

Grease Application Area:





1. Apply a multipurpose grease (SAE J310, NLGI No.3) to the inside of the left suspension arm.

Bushing "B" Installation:





NOTE: Coat all bushing outside surfaces with grease before installation.

2. Using the appropriate bushing drivers, drive bushing "B" into the suspension arm until the depth notch on the driver aligns with the end of the suspension arm.

Bushing "A" Installation:





3. Using the appropriate bushing drivers, drive bushing "A" into the suspension arm.

Dust Cover Replacement:





4. If the dust cover is to be replaced, position the new one at the center position of the right suspension arm. After applying grease to the surface of the suspension arm, install the rubber stopper.

Suspension Arm Reassembly:





5. Slowly push the right and left suspension arms together, making sure the stabilizer bar alignment marks are aligned with the marks on the brackets. Wipe away the excess grease.
6. Install the rubber bushings, fixtures and washers. Be sure to install washers and fixtures correctly as shown.

Fixture And Washer Reassembly:





7. Align the fixtures with the suspension arms according to the alignment marks and loosely tighten the nuts.

NOTE: Do not tighten the nuts to specification until the vehicle is resting on the floor.

Dust Cover Reassembly:





8. Pack the dust cover and lips with grease and tighten the clamp.
