TESTING PROCEDURES
This TSB HAS BEEN REVISED TO INCLUDE UPDATED "END CLUTCH PRESSURE" READINGS FOR COLUMN 6.
This bulletin provides the ATM Hydraulic Pressure Testing Procedure and Worksheet. It is applicable to the KM175-2, KM175-5, KM175-6, KM176, KM177, A4AF1 and F4A33 transmissions.
1. Make sure the transaxle is at normal operating temperature.
2. Place the car on a hoist or support the front of the car on jackstands so that the front 2 wheels are off the ground.
3. Attach a tachometer and/or use the instrument panel tachometer.
4. Install an oil pressure gauge. (SST No. 09452-21500)
5. Measure the hydraulic pressure. If the pressure is out of specifications, refer to the table "Remedial Steps If Oil is Not Normal".
