Disposal Procedure

Caution:
^ Before a live air bag module can be disposed of, it must be deployed.

^ Failure to follow air bag module disposal procedures can result in accidental air bag deployment which may cause personal injury.

^ Live air bag modules must not be disposed of through normal refuse channels.

^ The undeployed inflator module contains substances that can cause severe illness or personal injury if the sealed container is damaged during disposal.

^ Disposal in any manner inconsistent with proper procedures may be a violation of federal, state, or local laws.

^ Wear gloves and safety glasses when handling the deployed air bag module.

1. Placed deployed bag modules in a sealed plastic bag.

2. The module may now be disposed of in the same manner as other general parts.

3. Throughly wash hands after completing this procedure.
