DESCRIPTION

Battery design has been revised effective with May 1, 1993 production.





The battery plugs have been changed from the press-in type to the threaded type and the battery indicator has been deleted.

The deletion of the charge indicator has made it necessary to after the battery inspection procedure. The pages that follow describe the new service procedure for inspecting the battery.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Maintenance

^ Keeping the battery top clean and dry reduces the need for service and extends battery life.

^ Make certain the cable clamps are tightly fastened to the battery posts. If corrosion is found, disconnect the cables and clean the clamps and posts with a wire brush. Neutralize the corrosion with a solution of baking soda and water. After installing the cables, apply a small quantity of grease to each battery post after attaching the cable to help prevent corrosion.
