REMANUFACTURED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (REMAN ATM) PROGRAM - NTF TESTING

Effective June 14, 1993, HMA instituted no trouble found (NTF) testing on all automatic transmissions returned from dealers to be remanufactured.

The remanufacturer inspects 100% of the transmissions returned to the reman center. All units which pass the initial inspection will have the torque converter removed to check the impeller hub and end float.

If the result of the above inspection is satisfactory, the transmission will receive a complete dynamometer test.

The following actions will be taken for each transmission found to be NTF:

DEBIT: 100% of the reman ATM warranty claim
CREDIT: Dealer net cost of the reman ATM unit less a $131.00 service charge for NTF testing.

NOTE:
The reprocessed warranty claim will contain an entry in the sublet field only. The entry will equal the dealer net cost of the reman ATM less the $131.00 charge and will appear with a debit code of "AH".

There is no NTF testing cost to dealers for units that have mechanical concerns and are therefore not classified as NTF
