REPAIR PROCEDURE FOR HDS PRINTER
The warranty repair time for the Okidata OL4OOe printer in the HDS system has changed from the standard 4 to 6 week repair time to a 48 hour repair time.
If you should experience a printer problem, the dealer should call 1-800-372-3343 for assistance. If it is determined to be a hardware problem, the dealer will be sent a replacement printer which the dealer will keep. The other printer will be sent back in the box that the replacement printer arrived in.
This service is only available for printers bought through the HDS program. It is not available for printers which dealers have bought on their own. Remember, if you file a warranty claim using an HDS operation code, a copy of the sweep test printout results must be attached to the repair order.
The majority of printing problem calls are because the printer selection in the HDS configuration screen is not set correctly. Before calling, make sure that the printer is set to PCL-5 in all four configuration screens: HDS, Simu-Tech, ABS-Tech and Trans-Tech.
