Cylinder Head Assembly: Service and Repair

1. Remove timing belt as outlined under Timing Belt.

2. Remove camshafts and rocker arms as outlined under Camshaft, Lifters and Push Rods.

Loosening Sequence:

3. Using cylinder head bolt wrench tool No. 09221-32001, 09221-11000, or equivalents, remove cylinder head bolts in sequence shown in Fig. 7.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

Tightening Sequence:

a. Torque cylinder head bolts in sequence shown in Fig. 9 to 90-100 Nm while engine is cold.
