INSTRUMENT PANEL SWITCH BULB REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

DESCRIPTION:

It is not necessary to replace the entire switch assembly when a bulb burns out in an instrument switch panel. Replace only the bulb.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Replace the inoperative bulbs according to the instructions below:

SCOUPE





1. With the key off remove the center facia panel.

2. Disconnect the switch assembly with the burned out bulb from the wire harness.





3. Remove the switch assembly from the center facia panel.





4. Using a small screwdriver, remove the bulb socket including the bulb from the switch housing.

5. Remove the burned out bulb and insert a new bulb into the bulb socket of the switch assembly.

6. Re-install the switch into the facia panel. Re-connect and verify that the bulb is operational.

7. Re-install the center facia panel.

SONATA





8. Remove the switch plate assembly or the center facia panel.

9. Disconnect the connector of the switch with the burned out bulb from the wire harness.





10. Remove the switch assembly from the switch plate or center facia panel.

11. Using a small screwdriver, remove the bulb socket including the bulb from the switch housing.

12. Remove the burned out bulb and insert a new bulb into the bulb socket of the switch assembly.

13. Re-install the switch into the switch plate or center facia panel. Re-connect and verify that the bulb is operational.

14. Re-assemble the switch plate or center facia panel.

All Scoupe switches may use either type of bulb listed above.
