Downshift Switch: Description and Operation

Accelerator Switch:

PURPOSE
The accelerator switch is an ON-OFF contact switch.

OPERATION
Tells the transaxle control module when the accelerator pedal is in the released position. The transaxle control module disengages the torque converter clutch during deceleration.
