Bleeding the Auto Lash Adjuster





1. Insert an air bleed wire into the hole of the auto lash adjuster and move the plunger up and down 4 or 5 times.

2. Remove the air bleed wire and push the plunger strongly with your finger. If the plunger moves even slightly, repeat step 1.

3. If the plunger still moves after repeating steps 1 and 2, replace the auto lash adjuster.

CAUTION
^ Since the auto lash adjuster is a precision part, care should be taken so that foreign objects and dirt do not enter the auto lash adjuster.

^ Do not attempt to disassemble.

^ Use clean diesel fuel for cleaning.

^ When fully bled, hold in an up-right position to make sure the diesel fuel does not spill.
