Accelerator Pedal Switch: Description and Operation

Accelerator Switch:

PURPOSE
Tells the transaxle control module when the accelerator pedal is depressed. The transaxle control module disengages the torque converter clutch during acceleration.

CONSTRUCTION
The accelerator switch is an ON-OFF contact switch operated by the movement of the accelerator pedal.
