Cylinder Head Assembly: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold.
3. Remove exhaust manifolds.
4. Refer to Timing Belt and remove timing cover and belt.
5. Remove valve covers and gaskets.

6. Remove cylinder head bolts using tool No. 09221-32001, or equivalent. Slowly loosen cylinder head bolts in sequence shown in Fig. 3.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting to clean mating surfaces.
