When repairing a Hyundai vehicle that is involved in an accident where the air bag(s) have deployed, the following components must be replaced.
1) Deployed air bags(s)
2) Air bag control module assembly (computer)
3) Air bag control module assembly machine screws
4) Clock spring contact assembly
5) Air bag wiring harness
Hyundai has developed air bag repair kits to assist dealers when ordering all of these components. The air bag repair kits include items 2 - 5 as listed above. In addition to ordering the air bags (which are color specific), an air bag repair kit should also be ordered. The part numbers for these kits are illustrated.
