Dashboard / Instrument Panel: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.2. Remove driver air bag module and steering wheel.
3. Remove steering column lower and upper shrouds.
4. Remove multi-function switch and disconnect electrical connector.

5. Remove instrument cluster fascia panel, Fig. 15.
6. Remove instrument cluster assembly and disconnect electrical connectors.
7. Remove side fascia panel and disconnect mirror control connector.
8. Remove hood release handle mounting screws.
9. Remove crash pad lower cover and bracket.

10. Remove console upper cover, Fig. 16.
11. Remove rheostat.
12. Remove heater control cable.
13. Disconnect switch extension wire, air conditioning switch, blower switch, vacuum and cigarette lighter connectors.
14. Remove center fascia panel assembly.
15. Remove console assembly.
16. Remove radio mounting screws, then the radio.
17. Remove glove box mounting screws, then the glove box.
18. Remove glove box striker mounting screws, then the glove box upper cover.
19. Detach defroster nozzle from main crash pad.
20. Remove speedometer cable adapter and instrument connector.
21. Remove data link connector mounting screws.
22. Remove main crash pad.
23. Remove instrument connector and data link connector from main crash pad.
24. Remove ventilators from main crash pad.
25. Remove passenger air bag.
26. Remove lower crash pad lower panel support bracket.
27. Remove center fascia panel support bracket.
28. Remove glove box striker mounting bracket.
29. Remove instrument panel.
30. Reverse procedure to install.
