Throttle Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments
IDLE SWITCHInspection
Verify that the idle switch is "ON" when the accelerator is in the released position.
NOTE: Check the idle switch ON / OFF condition by measuring the voltage between the idle switch connector and the ground wire.
Adjustment
Adjust the idle switch so the voltage readings correspond to specifications below.
Specifications:
- Idle switch ON (idle position): 0 Volts
- Idle switch OFF (other than idle position): 12 Volts
